Which toy movie is most worth taking out of the packaging?

August 10, 2009 - Paramount scored another toy-related hit this past weekend with a $100 million or so worldwide opening for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The film had one of the best openings in August ever, bringing in $56.2 million of that box office right here in the good old U.S. of A.

So it's already looking like we'll be seeing a sequel to Joe in the next couple of years, keeping with the trend of fellow Paramount/Hasbro toy/movie series Transformers. Which brings us to last week's Exit Poll, where we asked you, the IGN readers, to tell us which film you liked better -- G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra or Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?

Here's how you responded:

* 37.7% -- Robots in disguise!

* 36.1% -- Go Joe!

* 16.1% -- Both rule!

* 10.1% -- Both blow!



So it was a pretty even split there, with Transformers just narrowly beating out G.I. Joe. Of course, one must wonder how many voters were basing their Transformers ballot on the first film as well as, or perhaps even instead of, the second film. Ah, the intricacies and idiocy of democracy!
