UK, November 5, 2009 - Apocalyptic disaster movie 2012 is set for its own spinoff TV show, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Director Roland Emmerich spilled the beans, telling the mag that a small-screen version would be set after the events of the movie where (rather obvious spoiler alert) most of the world is submerged under water.
"The plan is that it is 2013 and it's about what happens after the disaster. It is about the resettling of Earth. That is very, very fascinating."
He went on: "I think it will focus on a group of people who survived but not on the boats - maybe they were on a piece of land that was spared or one that became an island in the process of the crust moving. There are so many possibilities of what they could do and I'd be excited to watch it."
Emmerich will shepherd the show along with Mark Gordon, an exec producer on Grey's Anatomy.
EW speculates that Gordon is already in talks with ABC about developing the show, with the drama niftily placed to pick up the water-bound-disaster reigns once Lost finishes.
Gordon explained: "After the movie, there are some people who survive and the question is how will these survivors build a new world and what will it look like. That might make an interesting TV series."

ResponderEliminarEsta ideia não tem lógica nenhuma, a não ser que no "2012" não tenham destruído tudo...
